Is treatment reimbursed by the CNSS, the CNOPS or my mutual insurance?
Depending on your policy, part of certain treatments may be covered by the CNSS, the CNOPS or your mutual insurance. The practice gives you the documents you need for your claim.
The practice and appointments
Cover for dental care depends on your insurer, your policy and the type of procedure. Everyday care is often better covered than prosthetic or cosmetic treatment, which may be covered partly or not at all.
The practice gives you the documents you need to put together your reimbursement claim, such as treatment forms and the detailed estimate. You then submit the claim to your insurer or your mutual insurance.
For major treatment, it is advisable to send the estimate to your mutual insurance before you start, so that you know in advance how much may be reimbursed.
If you are unsure about your cover, check directly with your insurer. The practice team can tell you which documents to provide, but cannot decide on your insurer’s behalf how much will be reimbursed.
This is a general answer. Only a consultation at the practice can tell what suits your situation.
